Located in Wheeling, West Virginia, WesBanco Arena has showcased the best entertainment in West Virginia. Since opening on Tuesday, April 19, 1977, the arena has been Wheeling's home for legendary performances. From Elton John, Brad Paisley, AC/DC, WWE, Aerosmith, George Strait, KISS, and more to recent performances of Alice Cooper, PBR, Disney on Ice, Ice Nine Kills & In This Moment, and Dropkick Murphys, and more!
In addition, WesBanco Arena is home to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), Wheeling Miners indoor football, and many Ohio Valley Athletic Conference events, Wheeling Lightningbirds (ECWHL), Wheeling Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA), Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL), and more.
Owned and operated by the Greater Wheeling Sports and Entertainment Authority, many renovations have been made to WesBanco Arena in recent years. A major lobby overhaul, modern glass front, the arena entrance brought to street level and new ticket office. A new center video board, center ribbon ring, and ribbon boards were added. New seats and handrails throughout the venue. Finally, new portable seating, staging, ice rink cooling system, loge seating, and more improvements further added to the modern renovations at the arena.
As Downtown Wheeling continues to grow, WesBanco Arena also looks forward to a new era of entertainment at the venue.
